Ministry resources noted this formation is strategically very important. The electrical transmission system puts the emphasis on connections localized in Turkey as an energy corridor.

The benefits of the system are listed as follows: The European system which is connected in parallel with a synchronous system in Turkey will become much more powerful and stabilized with standard frequency and voltage will be gained with better quality and durability for public usage such as electrical appliances used in homes and industrial appliances. In addition, with the new connection, Turkey’s electricity transmission system and the European electricity system will work as a whole.
